On 26th October, Radico Khaitan in collaboration with SATHEE Foundation, ignited the spark of Diwali by organizing a fair in the primary school, Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad for children. This celebration was marked with joy and festive cheer. The chief guests who graced the occasion were the District Basic Education Officer, Mr. O. P. Yadav and Mr. Puneet Gupta, who inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. The children of the school delighted everyone with their performances including Saraswati Vandana, drama and cultural programs.
The parent teacher meeting scheduled on that day saw the participation of 78 Parents. After the meeting, the parents visited the stalls set up by Kudrat NGO. The children were encouraged to practice for the Nipun exam on OMR sheet. As part of the fun and games agenda, a lemon race, jalebi race and one-legged race were organized for the parents. The winning parents were awarded by the District Basic Education Officer and President of Sathi Foundation, Mrs. Kajal Chhibber. Enhancing the excitement for the children were the special Diwali treats served. Radico Khaitan and Sathi Foundation made arrangements for fruit juice, banana and refreshments for the children.
Mrs. Vineeta Tyagi S.R.G. during the parent-teacher seminar, requested the parents to send their children to school daily in order to ensure a 100% attendance. SMC President Pramod Kumar Malik, while addressing the parents, motivated them to send their children regularly and in clean uniforms. Sudha Singh, Anshu Chaudhary, Geeta Goyal, Preeti Anju Priya, Sunita Bisht were also present. Rajkumar Y expressed his gratitude to all the parents and guests who had attended this special occasion.
Through this wonderful initiative Radico Khaitan and SATHEE Foundation ensured that the joy and togetherness during the festivals of lights illuminates the lives of these children creating sparkling memories for a lifetime!
